ROCK legend Tina Turner is on her way to her first UK tour in a decade, and I've got a pair of tickets for her April 4 show at the MEN Arena, plus four copies of her album Tina The Platinum Collection to give away.

Liverpool promoter Mike Deane is in the final 6 for the UK Young Music Entrepreneur 2009.
The founder and co-director of annual festival Liverpool Music Week beat thousands of entries to make the final of the British Council run award.

Whether a triumph or disaster, the moment any band make their first tentative steps onto a stage is forever etched onto their minds.

I'M COMING to the conclusion that music doesn't divide neatly into genres. There is only good music and bad.
But there is one more functional subdivision within the good: iconic, durable anthems and throwaway pop. Ian McCulloch makes the former.
