The best Bond theme tunes of all time...

Bond is back, and with his come the gadgets, girls, and of course the theme tunes.
In honour of all things Bond, and not just to justify a picture of Hoylake's finest in his trunks, here's a guide to the best Bond themes of all times. It's only my humble opinion, so please leave your comments...
5. Goldeneye (Tina Turner)
This big, brassy hit from the film of the same name was written especially for Turner by Bono and The Edge of U2 when they learnt that she had been offered to sing the theme to the upcoming Bond movie.
The GoldenEye theme became one of the highest-charting hit singles of Turner's career, reaching number 10 on the UK Singles Chart and a Top 5 hit in most European countries.
4. The Living Daylights (a-ha)
This one is a real guilty pleasure. Take a closer listen. It's a pretty good little song.
Co-written by guitarist Paul Waaktaar-Savoy and Bond composer John Barry, The Living Daylights was released in the summer of 1987 and has become one of the most successful singles ever to be released by a-ha on the rock charts. The song charted in Britain at number five and remains one of a-ha's most played songs in live concerts and has often been extended into a sing-along with the audience, as featured on the live album How Can I Sleep with Your Voice in My Head.

3. Goldfinger (Shirley Bassey)
Composed by John Barry and with lyrics by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley, the song was performed by Shirley Bassey for the film's opening and closing title sequences, as well as the soundtrack album release. The single release of the song gave Bassey her only US top ten hit, peaking at number eight.
The song was produced by George Martin, who was also busy producing The Beatles.
This track is well up there for the best opening theme song ever. Sung with a brassy cabaret fervor by Ms Bassey, she's only matched by the fabulous raspy brass section.
2. Live and Let Die (Paul McCartney & Wings)
It's tough to give this classic second place.
This was one of the highlights of the fantastic Sound gig this summer, when Macca played at Anfield. Created with the help of his former producer George Martin, it throws everything including the kitchen sink into its grand production then lightens it with pop-reggae breaks.
This is Paul McCartney at his best, and it sounds just as good today as 30 years ago.
This track stands alone as a great song, and it incorporates 007 action themes into the instrumental bridge eloquently.

1. Nobody Does It Better (Carly Simon)
Nobody did it better than Carly Simon with the best Bond theme of all time.
One of the biggest-ever hits of the series, this was the first Bond theme that did not carry the same name as the accompanying film. Radiohead's Thom Yorke has declared onstage that "Nobody Does It Better" is "the sexiest song that was ever written."
Written by Marvin Hamlisch and Carole Bayer Sager, the main theme to The Spy Who Loved Me is both a celebration of 007 and a subtle inflation of his ego. And which man doesn't need that?
Deep breath now girls, and tell the man in your life: Baby, you're the best.
And a special mention has to go to...
The James Bond Theme (John Barry/Monty Norman)
Yes, it's that fabulous, famous, instrumental Bond theme.
First heard on Dr. No, when introducing 007 for the first time, this stirring, jazzy classic is a must in every subsequent Bond film.
