This week we have reviews of releases from Rob Clarke, Adele and Lou Reed's 'Berlin' DVD

The annals of rock have not always been kind to Johnny Borrell.
Sure, they grudgingly accept the Razorlight frontman's talent, but it's always laced with a reference to that ubiquitous bare chest, the fondness for genital-revealing outfits or his romances with Hollywood superstars.

LIVERPOOL singer/songwriter Ian McNabb found fame with the Icicle Works, before going on to perform with Neil Young's band Crazy Horse, Ringo Starr, Noel Gallagher and the Waterboys.
Along the way he's been Mercury nominated, playing everywhere from tiny clubs to big international festivals, rubbing shoulders with global superstars and some highly colourful characters.
And now, for the first time, he's put it all down on paper in his autobiography - Merseybeast: A Musical Memoir.
It' s a riveting, rollicking read, which lifts the lid on the Liverpool music scene, and far more besides.
Who knew, for example, that Ian had been an actor, and that he lost out on the part of Barry Grant in Brookside to another local musician - Paul Usher? Or that he used to go out with Ringo Starr's daughter?
Many books about the rock industry are written by ghost writers - this is a refreshing change. And Ian certainly hasn't pulled any punches.
"Names have been named, muck has been raked, stones overturned," he laughs. "I will be probably leaving the country on its publication before they march up the hill with torches to get me. It's going to be lonely this Christmas."

What's got 12 legs, jumps up and down and comes from Copenhagen? No, it's not a joke - it's Alphabeat.

They've already taken Jonathan Ross by storm, soared into the top five with In This City and played MTV's prestigious Gonzo tour in Liverpool this month...

She's just said her farewells to Strictly Come Dancing, and now Heather Small is still making time to play a one off gig at Warrington Parr Hall this month.
This week we have reviews of releases from The Submarines, Fallen View and Cage The Elephant

IT'S a measure of the love the Gallagher brothers have for this city that they made sure they kicked off their homecoming tour in Liverpool.
