Indie legend Calvin Johnson of Beat Happening and founder of K Records, will be a very special guest at the next Liverpool Calling event.
Besides being an idol for Kurt Cobain, Calvin's music has inspired people such as The Gossip and Beck. He is considered to be one of the instigators of the Riot Grrrl movement.

The iconic Liverpool pub which played host to John Lennon and Freddie Mercury is appealing for local musicians to follow in the footsteps of it famous former guests.

Hamfatter are a trio from Cambridge consisting of Eoin, Jimbo and Mark.
They formed five years ago and have released three albums, but earlier this year they decided to audition for the BBC Two show Dragon's Den.
After a gruelling interview process, entrepreneur Peter Jones decided to invest £75,000 in the band to help with costs of recording, touring and promotion.

JUST six months ago the Ting Tings were just another up-and-coming band. The last time they played in Liverpool it was to the half empty Mountford Hall at January’s NME Awards tour.
