This week's reviews feature the latest releases from Ladytron, Chris DeBurgh and Royworld.
Ladytron – Ghosts
Swirly whirly dancy trancey magic from the mighty Ladytron. Glaswegian Helen Marnie’s angelic voice soars and swoops over and through the beautifully woven cascades of living sound. Alongside Bulgaria’s finest, Mira Aroya, the band’s two local lads, Daniel Hunt and Reuben Wu give us something to be proud of, with every fabulous track they make. 4/5

Chris de Burgh – Now and Then
Undisputed master of the smoochy slow one, Chris de Burgh, brings together a collection of favourites from his long and successful career. He is a bit of a marmite man, you love him or you hate him, but even his harshest critics have to admit that he writes the songs that an awful lot of people want to hear, and most of them seem to be on this album, including his signature song, ‘Lady in Red,’ and the brand new track, ‘Live For The Day.’ 3/5
Grace Tiede
Royworld - Dust
Piano driven track from a band that sound like they have hopped aboard a time machine directly from the 70’s/80’s. They sound like one of those K-Tel Hot Hits pop compilation albums with all of its tracks being played at the same time... Sort of like the Buggles mixed with something a bit cooler, perhaps Sparks with a touch of Royksopp, maybe. 3/5
