MTV Awards Liverpool 2008 tickets

EUROPE’S biggest music event is on its way to Liverpool, and already I'm getting a lot of messages asking how to get tickets...

The awards will be held at the new ECHO Arena, Liverpool, on November 6. While it is primarily an event for the music industry, the organisers normally make a small number of tickets available to the public.
In some previous years, they have also taken the event into out in the host city. The last time it was held in Britain, in Edinburgh, there was also a simultaneous show for an audience of up to 10,000 in Princes Street Gardens, featuring live views of the ceremony beamed from Leith onto a giant screen together with live performance on stage in Princes Street Gardens and at the Castle.
Many host cities also choose to extend the event with a music festival in the run-up. I was lucky enough to be in Copenhagen in 2006 to see Copenhagen Music Week, which celebrated the alternative music scene in parallel with the awards.
This may well happen in Liverpool.
As far as the tickets for the main awards show goes, early estimates suggest that of the ECHO Arena's 10,000 seat spaces, approximately a third will be taken up by extended staging and cameras, another third will be tickets given to industry figures and sponsors and the remaining third will be available for the public.
But, it's likely that those tickets will be given as competition prizes, rather than put on general sale.
So, if I can offer any advice at the moment, it's to steer clear of buying any tickets until an official announcement.

Hi MTV. please let me know when ticket's become available. and the cost price,s. I live in Liverpool and its only fare that myself and family get to experience this once in a lifetime avent.Especially because its the first time i would have visited the arena. Im so excited about this avent you wouldnt beleive. My children are all age's and there will be something for all of their taste's. All under the same roof. i would just like to ask anyone if they hear any info bout the up and coming mtv awards and how to grab hold of some ab fab tickets please get in touch. Not only because id love to rub shoulders with the finest of finest musicians and alike but the day of the actual awards happens to land on my 21st birthday! thats just fate! what better way to celebrate my initiation into full blown adulthood than by dancing to some very fine music! i would also like to add to my plea that i am probably one of the biggest music fans in my street,(thats not including old charles a few doors down who is fanatical bout shirley bassey, think he maybe pretends to be her sometimes), or maybe in fact my whole residential area! anyway think yas get the gist, i would really really like those tickets to clebrate becoming the the 2 1 thanks for perusing this Laura xxx (russell lover)

my daughter is sending me potty over mtv tickets. The liverpool echo arena is a fantastic new venue for the awards and people visiting for the awards will be delighted at just what is going on in the city at the moment.these awards will be the iceing on the cake for liverpool this year during the capital of culture year please keep me informed if any tickets are available to us normal people thanks paul
