I used to play drums for many of the bands that came through the 1980's in Liverpool Dead or Alive Pete Wylie The Farm Its Imaterial The Mighty Wah etc I moved South in 1987 and now run a very busy Youth Centre for Bournemouth Youth Services. I watched Glastonbury Festival last week end and witnessed Two stunning performances by two great bands from Liverpool. The Wombats and The Zutons both bands played great and it was clear to see they both enjoyed their sets. The Zutons and The Wombats are probably Two of the very best bands to come from Liverpool. It was also great to see that the song "Valerie" Written by Dave McCabe performed Three times over the weekend.
