great Christmas songs part 9: The Lapis on Little Donkey

donkey.jpg
In the last of our series of festive songs championed by Merseyside musicians, we have The Lapis talking about Little Donkey...

One of my all time favourite Christmas songs is little donkey you cant beat it.

It's the only song I can still remember from school, standing in the choir with a tea towel on my head that stunk of chips because I forgot to tell my mum I needed one so I just nicked the nearest on my way out.

We nearly played it at the Metropolitan for Liverpool music week, but due to technical dificulties (no clean tea towels) we didnt have time..barhumbug.

From Santa this year I'd like the smoking ban to be lifted, we all know santa's a lambert and butler man so I'm sure he'd approve for one day. I'd also like a canoe purely because I've been a bit skint this year and an insurance payout would come in really handy!
