In the next of our festive season of great Christmas songs championed by Merseyside musicians we have Paul from The Deadsexys talking about Wizzard's I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day...
"I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday! I love this record, if ever a song title captured the heart and wishes of every child then this it. Roy Wood of ‘Wizzard’ even had the look of Santa with his big white hair!.
"The song was released in 1973 and despite not making Number One it remains for me, one of THE true real great christmas songs that always makes me remember how warm and special Christmas felt to me as I was a child growing up.
"The Stockland Green Bilateral School First Year School Choir bring a beautiful innocent feel to the song the makes you realise above else that Christmas is for kids and they really would love it to be Christmas everyday!
A little bit about me –
I’ve been involved in music for 17 years now and 2008 looks like being another busy year for me! I’m currently mixing new tracks for my new album entitled ‘Retro Majestic’ under the artist name ‘The deadsexys’.
I’m also currently helping and promoting a great new Liverpool band called ‘Sleeping With The Fishes’ who are a great tip for success in 08. You really need to check this band out!
Keeping me further busy I’m currently filming and narrating a 60 minute documentary about my long term music invention ‘The Psycho Sexual Sex Terrestrials’. Hopefully it will be released as an independent DVD, the bands story covers our often chaotic and controversial career from its birth in 1991 to the present day.
