Great Christmas songs part 6: Darnell on Shakin Steven's Merry Christmas Everyone

In the next of our series of great Christmas songs recommended by Merseyside bands we have Darnell on Shakin Steven's Merry Christmas Everyone...

If there is a song that reminds me of School Christmas discos, this is it, and I bet it still gets played now. The song is a timeless Christmas classic that would still be played in 100 years time. Mind you, with all this global warming, will the opening lyric be relevant, Snow is Falling? We will all be living in a sub tropical climate.

What would Darnell like from Santa? Well Junior said he would love to wake up Christmas morning and find Girls Aloud in his stocking! Or did he say in stockings? Darren finds that strange as Nicola went to his school, St Chads in Runcorn.
Darren would love to find an unlimited rental ticket to the local video shop as he spends a fortune each year on video rentals!

Darnell are winding down now until the New Year, with only one gig left to play. January will see Darnell back on the road again, concentrating in playing in Liverpool and Manchester, and playing festivals in Europe. 2008 looks as if its going to be busy.
