What's on My iPod - Ragz

Norwegian-born LIPA graduate Ragz Nordset sings enchanting, lyrical songs inspired by the natural world.

Now the Liverpool-based troubadour is supporting harmonica maestro, Will Tang, and is preparing to release her first EP at the end of November.
Here’s the music that’s been inspiring Ragz this week:
The Author, by Karima Francis.
“I saw this girl sing live a while back and I've never been so close to positively passing out. Her voice is of another world and this song really captures that. I absolutely love it.”
Be Here Now, by Ray LaMontagne
“Ray Lamontagne is a big inspiration for me and this is my favourite Ray song at the moment. It's a beautiful and, a bit of a, larger than life recording of something very, very intimate.”
Monsters Under The Bed, by Eugene McGuinness
“I’ve been following Eugene since he started playing live in Liverpool and I really like his style. Monsters Under The Bed shows Eugene’s talent as a writer and wordsmith. It's my foot-tapping-song.”
Martha, by Tom Waits
“The first time I heard this song, I couldn't stop crying (I never cry) I must admit I only listen to it when I am 'prepared' now!”
Till I get to you, by Nikka Costa
“This lady has got some pipes on her. Till I get to you is one of those songs that can lift me out of any morning misery just because she sounds so cool.”
Ragz supports Will Tang at Liverpool Carling Academy 2 on November 14. For more information see www.myspace.com/ragzmusic or www.ticketweb.co.uk.
