SPIN IT
Oasis – Lord Don't Slow Me Down
Noel sounds revitalised, the consummate frontman, and after just two listens the hook is absolutely impossible to dislodge from your head.
This is their first ever digital only single, to coincide with a tour DVD of the same name.
Sure, it's nothing radical, but it is more proof, if it were needed, that Oasis still do no-nonsense rock’n’roll tunes better than any band on the planet.

Take That – Rule The World Polydor
Hotly tipped for a Best Soundtrack Oscar as the theme for Matthew
Vaughan’s ‘Stardust’ no, not the cheesy David Essex one, the new
fantasy blockbuster featuring the likes of Michelle Pfeiffer, Ricky
Gervais, and Sienna Miller. ‘Rule The World’ is typical Take That -
a gorgeously melodious emotionally charged ballad, from the
northwest’s comeback kings of pop. Everything they touch turns to
gold these days,
as they enjoy the admiration of fans and music industry alike. Good
to have you back lads, and long may you Rule!

BIN IT
Prinzhorn Dance School – Space Invaders
I’m all for a bit of innovation in music but this offering from Tobin Prinz and Suzi Horn misses the mark by a mile. The music is sparse, repetitive and I found myself losing interest before the end of the first play. By the second and third I was nodding off.
These guys don’t do MySpace, they find photo-shoots vain, press releases dishonest and superlatives embarrassing. I find them pretentious rubbish.
