Crowded House - She Called Up

Another inventive and beautifully crafted song from Crowded House’s phenomenal Time On Earth album. This track takes us to the terrible moment of romantic rejection and feelings of helplessness at being dumped by long distance phone call – romantic curse of the modern age. I guess they should be grateful it wasn’t done by text message, with one of those little mouth tuned down :- ( emoticons for the punch line…

Babyshambles – Delivery

Hands up who’s fed up with all the Pete Docherty gossip? Yeah, me too!
'Delivery' reminds us all what Babyshambles are all about - great, groovy music!
This track has something of The Kinks ‘All Day and All of the Night’ about it, and a superb vocal, that says serious musician, not victim, not waster, not eejit.
It's a cracking good song from an excellent band that are long overdue being recognised for what they really are.

Bin It

Athlete - Hurricane

Well I wouldn’t expect a lot of pole vaulting or marathon running from these athletes. They might manage second place in the egg and spoon race, or the sack race, but that’s about it.
