Liverpool trio The Trestles play The Cavern Club tomorrow - the boys’ first big gig since recording a brand new demo.
Recorded over at Whitby Studio, Ellesmere Port, the disc has already received BBC airplay and NME has described the band as "like a Scouse Oasis."
Hailing from Liverpool, the indie threesome – Al O'Hare, Phil Bernia and Mark Dawson – are proving a winner with fans and critics alike.
The songs have been picking up nearly 100 plays a day over on MySpace (myspace.com/thetrestles) and their upbeat songs and three-part harmonies set them apart and their energy is as infectious as their melodies.
They aren’t your regular Merseyside band, choosing a more raw, at times folky style. Their home-grown sound is still as unique as ever and they have chiselled their own path.
Friday marks the start of a busy Summer period for the group - who recently were picked by Liverpool legend Pete Wylie to support him at his last two Classic! gigs at the Zanzibar - as they will cross the water to Little Sutton to support Amsterdam at the Red Lion in August, after supporting The Real Kicks at Korova (August 7) and The Brightlights at Barfly (August 11) during a big period for the band.
Songs like Celtic Eyes, Easy Street and Easy Does It are becoming firm favourites at the boys' gigs - and they're ready for the next level. Go and see what all the fuss is about.
The Trestles play The Cavern tomorrow night, entry is £3.50 with a flyer. For more information and to get a flyer see www.myspace.com/thetrestles.
