Do I Love You? (Indeed I Do)

Craig Charles presents a documentary looking back at Liverpool’s Mardi Gras Club and the special relationship it had with 1960’s soul music tomorrow night on Radio 2.
The Mardi Gras opened in Liverpool in 1957 and went on to become a gathering place for a post-war generation of young music fans. It pre-empted the Northern Soul movement and the cavernous, former cinema presented a royal rosta of suited greats with the likes of Ben E King, Al Green and Arthur Conley taking to the stage.

We're loving Liverpool quintet The Little Flames, who supported The Arctic
Monkeys at their run of secret gigs last week.
Now, the guys and girl are getting ready to release their new single Isobella and are playing a date at the Barfly on March 30.

Mr Postman (needs a rest after delivering all your awesome demos...)

Thank you so much to everyone who has sent demos in for the Parr street competition - we're absolutely snowed under with hundreds of them! And the best thing is that they're all great!
The not so good thing is that it's going to take us quite a while to listen to every one properly, and repeatedly, so we won't be able to announce a winner straight away. But as soon as we narrow down the winner we'll contact the band/artist and then publish it on the blog and we'll interview them in the paper.
