It's been a busy morning. I've been chatting to the handsome, charming and generally fabulous Jack Savoretti and all is good. The only depressing thing was that Jack is (23) tried to get away with calling himself an old man. I'll just get my pension book then!
The phone hasn't stopped - again, there's a great selection of music in and around the city, and big business is looking to capitalise on Merseyside talent. Click on the link below to see more.
The Acoustic Collective at The Magnet on Hardman Street tonight promises to be great stuff. BBC Liverpool unsigned artist of the month Lizzie Nunnery will be showcasing her own material, along with Jessica’s Ghost, Jeff Jepson and Barry Briercliffe. Doors open at 8.30pm and tickets are £3.
I can't wait for Access All Areas to start at Barfly. They'll have three types of music, nine DJs and best of all there will be a room dedicated just to Northern Soul and Motown. There'll also be indie and electro in the theatre room and a dedicated pop space. It all starts next Friday.
The guys at O2 have been in touch looking for Liverpool talent to take part in the Undiscovered Music mentoring competition.
The prize includes studio time with Polydor, a digital release, the chance to play at the O2 Wireless Festival, £5000 of equipment and various bits and pieces.
To take part upload a track to the O2 Undiscovered website for it to be rated by the viewing - and listening - public. Have a look at www.o2undiscovered.co.uk and sign up before February 28.
Here's lovely Jack Savoretti
