Liverpool lads the Wombats went down a storm when they played the Academy over the weekend. This great picture, taken by Mike Price, shows the band just before they went on stage.
Scousers Dan Haggis on drums and vocals, Matthew “Murph” Murphy on vocals, guitar and keyboard and Norwegian Tord Overland-Knudsen on bass and vocals are the Wombats.
The lads met at Paul McCartney’s fame school LIPA and have since played around the world.
Latest single Moving To New York has been receiving masses of radio airplay.
Dan says: “It was unbelievable how many people picked up on the song and it’s done really well.
“It’s weird to hear your song being played and backed on national radio.”
